Which schools to target with GMAT score of 680-690

Hello,..
I'm from India, have 4.5 years of exp and will complete 5 years by July'14 in IT industry. I have a B.Tech degree with major in IT. Working at the moment as junior level Project Manager in an MNC. I have fairly good academics.(Above average)

Currently I'm scoring in range of 680-690 in mocks, can someone please advice what schools I might have a chance in getting accepted.

Or please direct me to somewhere I can find info and decide. I'll be grateful.

There's a large range of schools that - at first glance - you should be competitive at.

I think a good place to start is with some questions?
Why do you want an MBA - what are your plans with the degree?
What field do you plan to pursue? What's your personality type?

These questions are a good place to start because the credentials of the school are
not the only important factors to consider. You want to think about what you'll get
out of the school (connections, research opportunities, etc) and what the school culture
is like so that you can really maximize your experience there.

Once you've done that, there are plenty of online resources that will help you filter down
to competitive schools in your GPA/GMAT range - and then you can read about the schools and grads
and narrow your choices down from there

Hope you are through with GMAT process and working on applications. You should target b-schools like Ohio-Fisher, Maryland-Smith, Georgetown- McDonough, Vanderbilt, Duke, McCombs, Kenan Flagler, Michigan Ross and Darden. Hope this helps.

Notre Dame is a stretch, not only because you are below their 710 GMAT but also because it's a very small class. Some of the seats for people with lower GMAT scores go to applicants with Catholic connections. Can you improve your GMAT and then get in an application in the early decision round, on September 9th?

There are better schools with lower GMAT averages: Kellogg; Ross; Fuqua; Johnson; Darden; Tepper; UCLA. However, they are all over 700 so work on your GMAT.

With a score of 680-690, you can target few top schools, but your undergraduate GPA, university, professional experience, leadership roles, extra-curricular activities, etc will have a significant say in your admission any of the top universities. GMAT is just one parameter in your application. Your essays matter a lot in your application. Aim for a good score and write to us.
