hi,
i scored 600(48,25) in my second attempt..first attempt 580(46,25) AWA 4.5.. i know it is very low score but i worked hard on verbal skills before second attempt.. i still can not analyze what went wrong in verbal ( i was quite confident during exam and i got Bold face question...supposed to be indicator of difficulty.. as 11th question) i never scored so low in my practice tests..but that does not count... at present i am not very confident about improving my score as i can not analyze what went wrong after 3 mths hard work... should i go for one more attempt after some time or should i go for applications? ..ur advise on this will help me a lot..
My profile.... i am an Indian ..... doctor.. i have done my post graduation in ENT... and i am working in state employee hospital as a lecturer
GPA: we do not have GPA system but i was above 85 percentile during my undergraduation and above 95 percentile in my masters... both colleges are very respectable and among the top colleges in India.
work experience: total 5 years..
one year: before my post graduation...in research project
three years : my residency (includes clinical as well as
management aspect)
one year: my current job
extra curicular: I have learned music for 6 years
represented my school and college in table tennis
Why MBA: I think management study will give me different perspective
...also by doing an MBA from an international school i can
interact with various people with differnt ideas.. in short i want to
broaden my look .. like to work in surgical device company or
medical tourism or IT firm with medical background for first few
years to gain experience then start my own .. (i know big plans)
Which course: i do not want to restrict myself to healthcare management..
i want to go for either general MBA or entrepreneurship and
innovation
schools: i wanted to target top B schools but i know this score is very low for them..
i am planning to give TOEFL... i strongly feel that the verbal score in GMAT does not represent my true verbal abilities..
What should I do? which schools I can target with this score ?
Thanks in advance
