using 1st person in essays

by mkhanna » Mon Sep 28, 2009 10:39 am
Had a question regarding AWA essays. I believe that it is preferable to not use first person in the essays. Would that hold only for Analysis of an argument or for both the essays?

For example, in the issue essay, in the 1st para when one is taking a stand, can we use words like "Some believe that ..., however, I believe that..." or would that be considered wrong?

Thanks. Please reply soon. D-day on 30th Sept!

The bold statement above is perfectly correct. Go ahead with that. I would also advice you to check out some essays of 6 and then prepare your own template.

Hope this Helps
