How common practice is it to follow up with the admissions office to check on your application status?
The school website gives the status info but I was thinking of calling the person in admissions office, whom I met during campus visit, and double confirming that she received my admission documents. Any advice?

I would advice against it. They are probably flustered with applications. Some schools even state that you should not contact them, they will contact you.

Think of what would happen if everyone did that. I would advise against it as well.... there's no need to. They will definitely contact you if something is missing. It actually won't be the admissions officer themselves but one of the admin staff folks who coordinate all that stuff....
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
