I understand that various factors influence the admission process.. what I was just wondering whether having GPA 4.0 in both undergrad and Masters have any impact .. Whether somewhere around 650-660 would be good score to be competitive? With 5 years of work exp?.

I think with 5 years of work exp and a 650-660 on ur GMAT - u got pretty good chances to apply in top 30 b schools as per the FT rankings. Coz the average years of work exp is around 5 years for many B schools. Also 660 is an average schools for most of the B schools
have a look at the rankings and then the particular websites and the statistics to get a clear picture

Hope this helps :)

you are having 5 years of experience .Apart from that a decent score GPA 0f 4.0 in both undergrad and Masters ....
U surely gonna get good university with a score of 650 plus..Then also try for 700+ ..
Go through some old HBR and other management magazines they give a good review with score ,college , experience and ur academic records....
