Simplify the left side of the eqn
We will end up with 5(y-1)
The right side of the eqn is r(y-1)
Hence from the main statement we get to know that r=5
The same info has been stated in Statements 1 and 2. No information abt value of y
Hence E
Value of r

so when r =+5 => we cant calculate
But when r = -5=> 5(y-1) = -5(y-1)
5y-5 = -5y +5
10y = 10 = > y=1
SO A
