Ineuality DS...plz help(OG Ques)

Is x between 0 and 1?
1)x^2 is less than x
2)x^3 is positive

i thought it to be C but i was wrong but the OA is A

(1) is testing a specific number properties rule: the ONLY numbers that get smaller as you square them are positive fractions.

So, if x^2 < x, then x must be a positive fraction: sufficient.
