it's true and here's what is said on the application page (after logging in for application):

Recommender Information
The Olin program you have selected does not require letters of recommendation as part of the application process. Rather, you are required to submit the names and contact information of two professional references as part of your application. These should be individuals who can speak of your candidacy for the MBA program. If necessary, the Admissions Committee may contact these references to receive an external perspective on your candidacy for the program.

I don't know of any other schools that do not require LORs. However, I would suggest that you prepare your references for a call just as you would prepare your recommenders to write a letter. You should let them know your goals and why you are attending school at this time. You obviously do not want to tell them what to say but provide them with the necessary background information to do a good job on your behalf.
