In 1988, the Council in Economic Priorities began publishing Shopping for a Better World, with the simple thesis of consumers having the power to change companies by the simple expedient of refusing to buy.

1)with the simple thesis of consumers having
2)which had the simple thesis of consumers having
3)where the thesis was simple: consumers having
4)with a thesis that is a simple one : consumers have
5)whose thesis was simple: consumers have

' in choice

IMO: E
'whose' correctly modify the noun preceding it.. and also the use of 'was' here is correct (simple past)

'where' in choice C is not correct since 'where' just modify the places

There was a typo in Option 2. Have fixed that.

Anyways, OA is E
But to me, "whose" just doesn't "Sound" right.
Infact, "which had a simple thesis of consumers having" looks better

I thought "Whose" is only used for living creatures.
