if d>0 and 0<1-c/d<1 which one must be true?
I) c>0
II) c/d<1
III) c^2+ d^2>1

my Q is that how we can chk the third choice mathematically without picking No.

Please post the correct question since the second inequality seems to be incorrect. 0<x<0 ???

Algebra is often the most efficient way to prove that a statement MUST be true.
To prove that a statement DOESN'T have to be true, picking numbers is usually faster. All you need is ONE combination of numbers for which the statement is not true.
