Is 'in order to' correct in GMAT?

Example:
X was probably buried in order to keep it from being stolen by invaders
X was probably buried to keep it from being stolen by invaders

please help

Both are correct and equal as per MGMAT SC guide.If you have to choose between the two in an answer choice,choose the shorter one "to"

In order to and to both show intention.

The Britons attacked France in order to gain access to mainland Europe.

The Britons attacked France to gain access to mainland Europe.

Both of the sentence are correct.
