Well everyone I just got a tweet saying that the HBS Class of 2013 essay questions and recommendation questions have been published!

Do I want to apply to harvard again, that is the question. My best application by far last time was harvard, but no dice. I like that they put them up so early though. Columbia's should be up sometime this month as well.

Yeah, I think you need amazing work experience, and to have cured at least one type of cancer as well as built at least 10 schools in Africa to get into Harvard! :D

Oh yeah and maybe throw in at least 1 Olympic gold medal to show them that you're a well-rounded candidate (silver will get you wait-listed, unfortunately).

Don't forget the $1,000,000 you must give each adcom member

I'm glad they released their essay topics early. I can get a head start on those while I wait for the rest of my schools to release their application packages. While Harvard is an amazing school that I'd be truly honored to attend, I definitely don't see it as an impossibility. Many of my friends (4 so far) have either graduated from or are currently attending HBS and none of them had gold medals or anything really spectacular. They were all smart folks with decent work experience but relatively normal all things considered.

I know, we were just joking around regarding their admission requirements. You don't need noble prizes or gold medals or million dollar bribes. ;)

Yeah I'm glad HBS and Columbia released their apps early. Hopefully this will alleviate the heavy workload for us applicants this summer!
