Is y > (n+15)/2?

Part 1
The midpoint of n and 15 is (n+15)/2, wihch is the same as the arithmetic mean. Therefore, if y is closer to one or the other, we can safely answer the question. In this case, it is always TRUE.

SUFFICIENT.

Part 2
y = 3n

Plugging in...

3n > (n+15)/2 ?
5n > 15?
n > 3?

This is INSUFFICIENT, since the only known minimum constraint of n is 0.
