Hi Stacy,

I have been browsing through the forum and appreciated your pragmatic responses to certain profile-evaluation requests. This encourages me to kindly ask: how to work my application to get to my pre-selected 6 schools listed in the topic ?

Let me detail my profile first:
- Born in Czechoslovakia, Slovak citizen
- 29 years old
Education
- 1 year High school in PA, US
- 5 years Engineering Master's Degree, France, (graduated with honors), unknown French engineering school.
- 1 year Postgraduate Masters degree specialized in Project Management, France, (graduated with honors), prestigious top French business school.
Work experience
- 2 years as software consultant for a major UK consultancy, Paris, France
- 3 years as Cofounder and CEO of a French-Slovak start-up company in high-tech security software, Paris - France and Bratislava - Slovakia
Community:
- 3 years, Lecturer in Project Management course, law senior students at Universite Paris XI
Hobby:
- 3 years, Ice-hockey player, Paris, France
Languages:
- mother language: Slovak (mother language)
- fluent: English, French
Test Scores
- TOEFL (not taken)
- GMAT (not taken)
Recommendations:
- 5 articles where published about the start-up company and the management team in French and Slovak newspapers.

Questions:

Q0: What are the risks (points I should avoid) and the opportunities (points I should accentuate) of my profile ?

Q1: Which parts of my profile would you recommend me to improve, before submitting the applications for R2 (fall 2008 intake) ?
- Apart from GMAT I currently study for. Target score: 680+.

Q2: How to work them (hire consultant, volunteer for more community work, ...) ?

If you need any more specific information I omitted - please ask. Thanks a lot for your help.

Best,
V.

You seem to have some interesting aspects of your background. Finding recommenders can be challenging for entrepreneurs, so you will have to think about that. (I am not sure what you mean about the articles.) Other than that, it sounds like you will have some good content to work with. Based on this profile, I do not see any specific holes.
