What is the ratio of 3/4 to the product 4 (3/4)?

A) 1/4
B) 1/3
C) 4/9
D) 9/4
E) 4

Can someone please explain how to solve this?

3/4 / 12/4 = 3/4 * 4/12 = 12/48 = 1/4

a ratio of x to y is x:y or x/y

in this case 3/4 to 4(3/4) or (3/4)/(4(3/4))
which is (3/4)/(3/4)*(1/4) or 1*1/4 or 1/4

A is the answer
