x^n = (x^n+2) for any integer n. Is it true that x>0?
(1) x = (x^2)-2
(2) 2x < x^5

For x^n = (x^n+2) to satisfy,
x can be either -1,0,1

Statement I:
It satisfies only when x = -1
So it is sufficient to say that x>0 is false.

Statement II:
It satisfies only when x = -1
So it is sufficient to say that x>0 is false.

So the answer is D.
Please update the actual answer.
