A cube is cut out from a sphere by making 6 cuts in the sphere, each at a distance of 'a' cm from the center of the sphere. Find the volume of the remaining portion of the sphere.

I. The side of the cube is 10 cm.
II. The maximum value 'a' can take is 8 cm.

A) vol of cube = 1000 but we don't know vol of sphere. insufficient
B) it means radius of sphere=8. but size of cube unknown. Insufficient
a&b) vol of remaining = vol of sphere - col of cube. everything is known. Sufficient
