A certain car dealership agreed to donate x dollars to a red cross chapter for each car sold during a 30 day period. What was the total amount expected to be donated?

a. A total of 500 cars were expected to be sold

b. 60 more cars were sold than expected, so that the total amount actually donated was $12800

Total amount=n*x

stmt1,

n=500

We dont know abt X.

Insuff

stmt2,

Total amount donated=12800

12800=nx+60x

We dont know abt n and x

Insuff

Combining 1 and 2,

We know n=500 and we can find value of x.

Expected amount=nx

Suff

Pick C

not too sure in above answer to me it is C
let it be q-the number of cars expected to sell, we need to find q*x=?

(1)q=500 but no x, insuff

(2) (q+60)*x=12800, insuff as two unknowns
both suff possible to find x,q and product of x*q
