For all integers n, the function f is defined by f(n)=a^n, where a is a constant. What is the value of f(1)?

(1) f(2) = 100
(2) f(3) = -1,000

Data Sufficiency Answer Choices

(2) f(3) = -1,000---->a^3=-1000--->a=-10 ...suff( cube root signs doesn't changes)

Data Sufficiency Answer Choices
(1) is insufficient as it gives two values for a, which would, in turn, give two answers for f (1).

(2) is sufficient as it directly solves down to a = -10. Now, when a is fixed, problem is fixed.
