Let M be the male students
Let F be the female students

Given .72M and .80F applied

To find M/M+F (or) M/F (part to whole ratio or part to part ratio)

Stmt I

m+f = 840

still dont know m

INSUFF

Stmt II

.72M + .80F = .75(M+F)

We can get M/F from here which is what we need.

B)

p.s If u were to calculate (not needed just FYI)

.72M+.80F = .75M+.75F
.5F = .3M
5F=3M

M/F = 5/3 (5/8 the men 3/8ths women)
