If * represents a digit in the 7-digit number 3,62*,215, what is the value of *?

1. The sum of the 7 digits is equal to 4 times an integer
2. The missing digit is different from any of the other digits in the number

Also, is it correct to rephrase statement 1 as - The sum of the 7 digits divided by 4 gives us an integer value?

Hi,
As experts haven't responded yet, I take this opportunity

From (1): sum of 7 digits is3+6+2+*+2+1+5 = 19+*. For it to be divisible by 4, * has to be 1 or 5 or 9
Insufficient
From (2): * is one of {0,4,7,8,9}
Insufficient
From (1)&(2), the common element is '9'. So the value of * is 9
Sufficient

Hence, answer is C

Thanks mate. I have forgotten to think of 'C' as a possible answer choice for quite a few DS problems today.

PS: Maybe experts should hold back and shed light on other tougher questions out there.
