Is it A ?

1 - sufficient. m and p are even (as the GCF is 2). So, dividing p by m
cannot yield a remainder of 1. We already know remainder of 0 is
not possible as m is not a factor of p.

2 - insufficient. 15*10 and 6*5 are 2 possibilities. One has a remainder of
of 5 while the other has a remainder of 1.
