1) At least 100 students at a high school study Japanese. If 4% of the students who study French also study Japanese, Do more students at the school study French than Japanese?

A) 16 Students at the school study both French & Japanese.
B) 10% of those who study Japanese also study French.

2) Each of the 25 Balls is either red, blue or white and has a number 1 to 10 printed on it. If a ball is selected at random, what is the probability that the ball is either white or has an even number printed on it.

A) Probability that the ball would be both white and with an even number is 0.
B) Probability that ball is white minus probability that the ball has an even no is 0.2.

3) Of 1400 college teachers surveyed, 42% considered engaging in research.
How many college teachers surveyed were women.

A) 36% men & 50% women surveyed said they will consider engaging in research.
B) 288 men said they will consider engaging in research.

4) Machines X & Y can produce components at their respective rates. How many more hours does Y take than X to produce a certain number of components?

A) X & Y working together take 2/3 of the time taken by X.
B) Y working alone takes Twice the time taken by X.

0.36 (1400 -W) + 0.5 W = 0.42 * 1400

so we can solve for W.

I thought the same, But the answer given is A !!!!!!
