IMO E

from the stem we get that a can be -2 or -6

stmt 1 says a<0 so, could be -2 and -6 insuff

stmt 2 if we foil the equation will get (a+6)(a+2) which is also -2 and -6.... insuff

combining both we don't get that far..... so E

IMO E

A alone is insufficient as a could be -6 or -2

B alone is insufficient as the equation again gives the same condition as A

both combined dont give a unique solution.
