Is mod x = y - z

1) x + y = z
2) x < 0

OA.. C
Corrrect me if i am wrong in below thought..

A and B individually are not sufficient.

Given from A x=z-y
Given from B x <0; so x is -ve
From A and B,Equation x=z-y is -ve.
So |x| is +ve by definition, |x| has to be equal to y-z cause z-y is -ve.
So C is OA

|x| = +x when x>0
= -x when x<0
2 says x<0 so -x
1 says x = z-y

Combine |x| = -x = -(z-y) = y-z (Suff)

Your thought process is correct I believe.

Answer is indeed C, as per your thoughts. But let's complicate things slightly :)
Same question, only now stat. (2) says x>0. What's the answer then?

Still answer will be C right!!! As we have a SURE NO to the answer.

Yes i agree with shovan85 since from A and B..z-y is +ve, implies y-z is -ve

As a result |x| cannot be y-z.
