1) 2(Length of rectangle) + 2 (width of rectangle) = 30
As you do not have any other information about the length and width of the rectangle, this information is not sufficient.
2) All 3 small rectangles have the same dimensions. The width of the small rectangle will equal KN/2 and the length of the small rectangle will equal KN.
So, MN = KN+KN/2 or 3/2KN.
Therefore, ratio of KN to MN is [KN/(3/2)MN] or 2/3. Statement 2 alone is sufficient.
This is a very visual question....while the math itself is very easy, it's probably trickier if you're not a very visual person like me!
