Is x > y?

1) xy > y^2

2) x(y^2) > y^3

I cannot understand why the answer to this DS question is B.

Please help.

In the future, please use spoiler tags to hide the original answer.

St1 is insufficient because the inequality may be different depending upon the sign of y.
St2 is sufficient because y^2 will always be positive, so both sides of the inequality can be divided by y^2 while preserving the inequality. i.e., x > y.

Therefore, the answer is B.
