Given that c and d are positive integers, what is the value of d in the fraction c/d ?

1. The least common denominator of c/d and 1/6 is 42.

2. c=5

The correct answer is E

case a) the least common denominator of 5/7 and 1/6 is 42.
case b) the least common denominator of 5/42 and 1/6 is 42.

Since d can equal either 6 or 42, the answer is E
