What is the value of n is the equation -25+19+n=s?

1. s=2

2.(n/s)=4

qa is d

after this equation is cleaned up: you can see that -6+n=s. so question is reallwhat is s or n?

st.1 bingo
st.2 gives a range of values. If you solve algebraically it is sufficient.HOWEVER, if you look and plug in values when n is 4 s is 1, n is 8 then s is 2. THese two values with can ruin statement two.

Forgive me for making this harder than it is. Lets shed some light on this.

Q: Whats the value of n?

n = s+6

I think u figured out Stmt I is sufficient

Stmt II

n=4s => s=n/4 (1)

n=s+6
n = n/4+6 (from (1) s=n/4)

We can solve for n since 1 equation 1 unknown.

Suff

Hence D)

Hope this helps!

I understand your point. however, if we put concrete answers, we see that statement two is only an equation that gives a relationship and when plugging in numbers i can prove it insufficient.

I welcome a conversation about this.

Simba ,

You cannot pick n=4 and s = 1 in the stm2 because this set of number make the asked equation inequal but the question clearly asked us to solve "equation".

Hope this help!!!
