DS -slopes question

In the xy-plane shown, is the slope of the line L negative ?

(1) Line L passes through a point that is in quadrant 3

(2) Line L passes through a point that is in quadrant 4

Both statements are satisfied by the pink lines in the figure below:

The correct answer is E.
