What does the number x equal?
(1) The quotient when the number is divided by 7 is 52
(2) The remainder when the number is divided by 7 is 2

Well, I got A because I was looking at statement (1) in isolation from Statement (2). However, I was wrong. In such questions, whenever divisor/quotient are mentioned, shall I assume that there shall always be a remainder?
