Pam and Ed are in a line to purchase tickets. How many people are in the line?

(1) There are 20 people behind Pam and 20 people in front of Ed.
(2) There are 5 people between Pam and Ed.

I believe the option would be C as both statements together give you an idea of the total number of people in the line.

So the total people in the line would be 2+20+5+20=47

Both of you are considering Pam behind of Ed,Consider other way round the total will be different,Hence you will come to answer as E.If any confusion use number line and put Pam and Ed.
