Intuition?

I find myself correctly answering a decent amount of DS questions based purely on aspects that I think I see, and think I think I see. I'm fully aware that this has a host of potential problems, but it seems to be working so far. Is this normal? The answer explanations I see tend to be worked-out versions of what I intuit.
Can I actually rely on this?
