A=35^x * 45^k * 80^2x. What is n?
1) k=1
2) root(k) = root((2+3k-n)/3)

What is n???

Interesting I dont see n in the qn.

A=35^x * 45^k * 80^2x

1) k=1
A = 35^x * 45 * 80^2x
INSUFF

2) root(k) = root((2+3k-n)/3)
3k = 2+3k-n
n=2
SUFF

pick B.

I think the qn is missing something. Can you have a look at it Arora?

No the question is as it is...

yes..it was very strange... so strange that it took me by awe...

I squared root k and added a +/- sign on the RHS and rest is history.....should have kept my nerves on such questions...

I was tempted to do this. But I plugged in the value of n back into stmt 2 and found that it results in no ambiguty.
root(k) = root(k).

So chose B.
