IMO D

(y - y1)= m(x - x1) where m = slope, and (x1,y1) is the coordinate:

Question: m=3/4, (-2/3, 1/2)
y - 1/2 = 3/4 * (x - (-2/3))
y - 1/2 = 3x/4 + 1/2
y = 3x/4 + 1 {This is the base equation to check on (1) and (2)

St (1). Line pass (-4,4)
let x = -4; substitute it in the equation to check if y = 4
y = 3(-4)/4 + 1 = -3+1 = -2 False. Therefore (1) SUFF.

St (2). Line pass (-4,-2)
let x = -4; y = 3(-4)/4 + 1= -3 + 1 = -2 True, Therefor (2) SUFF

Also can you check if the St 1 says (4,4) or (-4,4) because i came across this question before and st 1 had co-ords (4,4). In any case the answer is D.

I agree with D)
1) gives us false
2) gives us true

Don't you find it strange the 2 sentences are contradictory?
I think that it is a rule in DS that there is only one solution to the question.
