Three digit Integer

If k is a positive three digit integer, what is the hundreds digit of k?

(1) The hundreds digit of K+150 is 4
(2) The tens digit of K+25 is 7.
Answer is E can someone please explain why C is Incorrect.

(1) K + 150 = 4xx 250<K<349. Insufficient
(2) K + 25 = x7x. Insufficient

Combined. If we know the tens digit is a 7. this means that K must have a 2 as hundreds digit. There is no way to get a 7 in the tens digit when K is in the 300s since K<349. Therefore, hundreds digit is 2. Sufficient

K+150 will have 4th hundread at: 249<K<349

For K+25 have X7Y we have K as X45 < K < X54

Combining: 245 and 349 both satisfies. So hundread digit could yet be 1 or 2. and so E
