Kaplan Tests

Hi,

I am currently at day 9 of the 60-dat GMAT Study Guide which I'm following strictly.

To this day the only test that the Guide suggests to take is the GMATprep Test 1. What about the multiple tests of Kaplan's Premier with CD ??

There are 18 topics test + 4 GMAT CAT tests... when do I supposed to take this tests???

Hi Rehtor,

The topic tests you can take whenever you feel appropriate--they're there to help you learn. As for the tests, it's usually best to spread them throughout your study. Early, it's important that the new strategy and content be used in practice as well as in theory--you'll remember techniques you used on an actual test better than those you only did during untimed practice. Later, you need tests to review content you've already mastered, and to work on your pacing and endurance.

Regardless of when you take the CATs, remember not to just TAKE them. You should spend as much time reviewing your practice tests as you spent answering the questions. Also, make sure to cover problems you got right as well as problems you got wrong; if you got the solution through luck, you can't rely on doing so again, and if you got the answer through skill, you want to make sure you can manage a repeat performance!

Thanks a lot Eli!!!

I supposed I'm gonna spread the tests throughout the study... 14 topic tests in 8 weeks.

I think I would take one CAT each of the lasts 5 weeks (4 Kaplan's + GMATprep test 2)

What do you guys thinks of that??
