I have 2 doubts:
1) Can a pronoun refer to Y in form X'Y.
Eg: Mary's JOB is tough because IT requires lot of enery.
In the above sentence IT is referring to JOB. Is this right?
2) Can non-possessive pronoun have possessive antecedents?
Eg: Roy's job is hardworking because he scored 100.
In the above sentence he is referring to Roy. Is this correct?
