Hi,
From(1): 1/(k-1) > 0. So, k-1>0 =>k > 1. So, k is positive. 1/k > 0
sufficient

From(2): 1(k+1)>0. So, k+1>0 =>k>-1
for -1<k<0, 1/k <0
for k>0, 1/k>0
Insufficient

Hence, A
