IMO D

Let's pick a number for the total of men

total of men = 35 ---> 4/7 of 35 = 20 are married.

The same number of women have to be married so

3/5W = 20 ---> number of women W = 100/3

fraction of the population married = (20+20)/(35+100/3) = 24/41

Given that (4/7)M = (3/5)W

i.e. M:W = 21:20

i.e. Let M = 21 and W = 20.

So number of married men = 4/7 x 21 = 12.

Thus number of married women is also 12.

Hence 24 out of 41 are married.

Thus 24/41
