What was the percent increase of Company A's stock between June 1 and June 30, 2000?

1. The stock gained $5 in value during June 2000.
2. The stock rose 12% during the first half of the month.
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

1. insufficient - base price is not given
2. insufficient - only one half's information is given

statement 1: If we know that stock gained $5 in value during June 2000. we know profit = $5
if $X be the initial companies stock.
so profit% = (5/X)x100.

so not sufficient.

statement 2: stock rose 12% during the first half of the month. but we don't know about the 2nd half.
so not sufficient.

combined statement1 & statement2:

not sufficient
