480 in GMATPrep , should i stop dreaming about MBA

I have got 5 year work exp and can't think of going to B grade BSchool at this stage.
After brushing up some math formulas,i took 1st GMATPrep and scored 480.
IR 2
Quant 34
Verbal 22

That was pathetic score,am i not good enough for GMAT ? should i focus on something other in life
What should be next step forward.

Can anybody tell me ,if 480 is a good score for starters...?
How can i improve my score ..suggestions please ?

Well, if you have just started, then 480 is not a bad score. You have 5 yrs of work exp, this means you have been out of touch from maths and grammar for a really long time.
I believe if you put in an honest effort, you can achieve your dream score. So cheer up! :)

If you had no prep then do not be discouraged.

I am 2 years out of Undergrad and started my prep. I took the Kaplan diagnostics and did miserable, only got 37% right. I took this badly but did not give up. For me it helped to go back to basics and start with the foundations of math and verbal. I first used Kaplan, then Official guide. I have found recently that that Manhattan makes a good foundation book.

There are many strategies to attack the GMAT and through practice there are several types of "traps" that you become aware. I am consistently scoring in the 660's on practice tests and seeing increasing scores every 2 weeks. Manhattan also makes some good strategy guides that once you've got a good understanding of the foundations will help with strategies on working through the GMAT

Don't give up, try just focusing on foundations and attempting problems, and try a test in a month or so and see how you've done.

1) OG 12/13 ,all questions
2) Manhattan SC
3) Offcial GMAT quant and verbal review book

Tell me is that enough ?

Less asking, more doing.

Do OG, do Manhattan SC, take another practice test, and come back to us with your score. I bet you will see a monumental improvement.

Can anybody tell how can I review my GMATPrep 1st test's answers that I took few days back.
I want to see the explanation of my wrong answers.
is there any way ?
