1. Will I need to convert this into CGPA / GPA in my application?
First: "CPGA" and "GPA" are the same thing.
Second: It depends on the school, but typically, no. Almost every school but Columbia wants you to report your grades exactly as your school records them.

2. if yes, how? Are there any bench mark to do this?
Columbia has instructions on their site here:
https://www4.gsb.columbia.edu/mba/admiss ... ements#GPA It's important to be conservative when converting, because they are skeptical of any errors and will assume any mistake is an intentional attempt to inflate the academic record. However, most people we see using the instructions that they provide tend to underestimate what the grades should be; it's an unfortunate conundrum that they put applicants in.
You could go with a company to do the conversion - WES is considered the industry standard. For most bschools though, you should not try to convert it yourself, as the adcoms are very experienced in evaluating academic records from all the reportings systems in the world.
Hope this helps!
