MGMAT scoring realistic

by levocap » Sun Aug 30, 2009 7:51 am
Just took MGMAT CAT #1 (Free for anyone to test out) and scored 650 (Q45, V34). My question is, I missed 18 out of 37 Q questions (I know, i need to improve) but still got a scaled score of 45. Is this realistic? Seems a bit on the high side.

Regardless, props to MGMAT. I really like their format vs Kaplan. However, I did find their RC a little too easy in the sense that the articles are actually topical and interesting. OG never has interesting topics on RC!

Lot depends on level of difficulty. 19/37 is about 45 score. I got 22/37 and got 48 in OG. MGMAT quant is little lower side, I would add 3-5 points more for actual....you are going in right direction!

I'll concur that it's all about the difficulty level. I took MGMAT CAT 1, missed 19 questions (1 more than you), and scored SIGNIFICANTLY worse than 45 on the Q section. I've been studying hard over the last two weeks, so hopefully CAT 2 will be much nicer to me.
