Working + MSc

by alex139rom » Sun May 13, 2012 7:32 am
Hello everyone,

I am finishing my bachelor now with an expected GPA 2.9-3.0, while working at my family's business as a Sales&Operations Manager for the past 2 years. Also, I have been helping my parents every summer for since I was 8 years old
My objective is to get in a good MBA (preferably Kellog, or INSEAD, but until then I believe I still need some Work experience
From August this year, I will be interning for a small management consulting company with offices in about 5 countries and fewer than 50 employees. I believe I have good prospects for staying in the company after the internship (although I also have a 1 month internship with PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
After the internship, I am also planning to follow a local full-time MSc in something related and I believe I can manage both of them since the MSc, although full-time, is designed for working professionals and the curricula is not that hard (The university is located in an Eastern European Country), but I would not get a very high GPA(I estimate it would be around 2.5...

I would like to ask you guys if the Work Experience during the MSc is accounted legitimate WE for an MBA (since I've been told that WE during bachelor's is not accounted for).
Also, I have another option: Do the internships for 4 months and then follow up with a top 20 MSc (according to Financial Times) in International Business, with the goal of working in top Consulting Company.
Which do you believe I should choose?
I can afford both, but I would prefer to finish the MBA as young as possible.

Thank you for your time.

Cheers
