GMAT Score:640
I did not have a good feeling during the test, but I ended up with a surprising 640 (43 in quant; 34 in verbal). The verbal does not worry me too much as I see that MGMAT verbal is more challenging than what I saw when I practiced with GMATPrep and the OG texts.

This time I actually conducted a more in-depth analysis of the categories of difficulty:

Quant:

300-500 questions = 4 correct; 0 wrong.

500-600 questions = 9 correct; 1 wrong.

600-700 questions = 7 correct; 14 wrong.

700-800 questions = 0 correct; 2 wrong.

I have not yet analysed which question types I got right and wrong.

Verbal:

300-500 questions = 1 correct; 0 wrong.

500-600 questions = 3 correct; 2 wrong.

600-700 questions = 13 correct; 3 wrong.

700-800 questions = 4 correct; 13 wrong.

Given this breakdown of difficulty, I believe that my verbal score should have been higher since I answered most of the 600 to 700 level questions correctly and a few of the 700 to 800, as well. Therefore, I am going to take this 34 with a grain of salt. Also, it seems to me that my quant score should have been lower given how many 600-700 level questions I answered incorrectly. I am a bit hung up on how representative of the real test MGMAT is. I know that mayo thinks that it is pretty close to the real thing, others have said that it is much more difficult.

Interested in hearing what others think.

I'm impressed by the level of research you've done, but my advice--don't spend time trying to figure out the algorithm. It varies from test prep company to test prep company, and no one outside of GMAC truly knows how the algorithm works.

Best to use your time studying and practicing :)
