Uisng @ as the symbol

Given x@y = x-y / x+y

3@y = 3 - y /3+y where x= 3 and y=y

5@4 = 5-4/5+4 = 1/9 where x=5 y =4

Therefore 3-y/3+y = 1/9
Cross Multiply

y+3 = 27-9y
y= 12/5

D)
