1) The tenth digit of X is greater than 2.
2) The tenth digit of Y is greater than 3.

The OA is E.

I need help with this DS question. Can any expert explain it please? Thanks.
Needless to state that neither statement alone is sufficient.

Case 1: Say X = 0.3 and Y= 0.4, then XY = 0.12. the hundredth (2) digit of XY is not greater than 6. The answer is No.
Case 2: Say X = 0.3 and Y= 0.9, then XY = 0.27. the hundredth (7) digit of XY is greater than 6. The answer is Yes.

No unique answer. Insufficient.

The correct answer: E

Hope this helps!
