Only quantitative part required - need advice

Hello everyone,

The MBA program I'm interested in requires only a good score in the quant part.
(they don't take into account the AWA, verbal or integrated reasoning)
Basically, I need to pass the 80th percentile in order to qualify.
Now the thing is that I took the test 3 weeks ago and scored 39 which ranked me in the 48th percentile.
I'm contemplating whether I should retake the test in the beginning of September and what would be the best way to prepare for it in the remaining two and a half weeks.
- Is there a study plan(s) just for the quant part?
- Is it realistic to "jump" from 48% to 80% (I actually scored ~ 66% on both GMATPrep software tests)

I'll be happy to hear your advice,

There are definitely some books devoted only to the Quant section but I don't think there are any ready-made study plans. What you could do is use a plan for both parts and simply ignore the verbal part. Still I think that 2 weeks is a rather short time and it might be difficult to firstly identify your weak subjects and then to work on them during such a short period.
How many hours a day are you planning to study?

Basically, my plan is 2-3 hours on work days and ~ 8 hours on the weekend (Fri & Sat).

What do you think?

I would highly recommend MGMAT strategic guides for certain topics in Quant. like Word Translation, Fractions etc. Nothing like the Official Guide though. I am not sure how much of it you were able to finish before giving the actual GMAT. Also, try to take some practice tests from MGMAT. Their Quant section is deliberately harder than Official GMAT. If you are able to touch "45" in Quant in MGMAT practice test, you can be sure to hit 47-48 on the actual exam. Hope that helps!

Any thoughts about the time frame I have left (18 days) and the actual improvement i'm after (48% to 80%)?

Go for 3 hours a day and be systematic - then you have a chance of succeeding provided you manage to identify precisely the types of problems that you need to improve. Track your mistakes carefully and then try to find solution to each question you have solved incorrectly.
You need to focus on accuracy during the first week and work on your timing during the last few days while doing simulation tests.
