gmat test got harder?600 ( Q 43, V 30)

i scored a really low scored compared to my average of 680-720 in MGMAT. I noticed a lot of things that used to matter are not showing up in the gmat. Especially those SC. It focuses more on meaning now? What about those idioms we have to memorize? Any noticed any new changes?

I read some article somewhat recently that said the GMAC was going to focus less attention on idioms. I don't have a link to it, but I'm pretty sure idioms are less relevant now.
